Tree removal in Twin Waters
Tree removal, pruning and stump grinding in Twin Waters, from the lake-front and canal blocks to the edge of the conservation park.
Tree work in Twin Waters
Old swamp ground under the canal estate
Twin Waters sits on the north side of the mouth of the Maroochy River, with the ocean beach on one side and open canals through the estate, so its trees take onshore wind and salt. On sandy canal-front ground, dead limbs, wind damage and a new lean are worth finding before storm season.
Before the resort and the canals were built, this shore was an area of ti-trees and mangrove swamp. Trees on that damp, sandy ground hold on with shallow root plates that can let go in a storm, and a stump grinder here usually meets sand rather than rock.
The lake is council managed under the Twin Waters Lake Management Plan, but each lake-front owner owns the revetment wall in front of their block and has to maintain it. A big tree near the water is judged partly on whether its roots are lifting or cracking that wall, and its branches and debris are kept out of the lake.

How it works
What happens after you get in touch
The council question is answered before the price, and nothing is booked until you have the quote in writing and have said yes to it.
- 1
Tell us about the tree
The suburb, what the tree stands near and what you would like done with it.

- 2
Someone comes to look
A tree contractor who covers your area sees the tree, the access and whatever is underneath it.

- 3
The council position is checked
Lot size, how close the tree is to the house and the mapping on the block decide whether an application comes first.

- 4
Quoted in writing
Scope, timber, stump and date set out on one page. Nothing is booked until you accept it.

Twin Waters questions
The heritage park and the protected lagoon
Can a heritage park's trees be trimmed from a neighbouring yard?
No. The council's planning scheme maps Parsons Bank Park as a Local Heritage Place, so pruning its trees is the council's decision. On the block next door, limbs, roots and machinery stay clear of the park.
Who is responsible for the bushland around the lagoon?
It is state conservation park. The resort needed a special lease of 20 hectares of a 260 hectare Crown reserve, and the Maroochy River Conservation Park was established in 1992 to protect the rest. Its trees are protected, so a tree on that boundary is checked for ownership before any work starts.
